- Personality - Revir is, for lack of a better word, 1nsane. She is courageous and looks and acts as if she's not afraid of anything. She is determined, like a dog with a bone, but only when the matter in questions is able to hold her interest, otherwise she can become distracted by some shiny or advanced piece of machinery, or anything else she may find more interesting. She is confident, often overconfident, in herself and her abilities and in her creations. She is enthusiastic usually when it involves blowing things up or shooting them.

   She is optimistic, sometimes weirdly so, saying "We're so gonna die" with a creepy grin in her face, but she is usually confident in victory and that things will work out somehow. She is honest, more often than not, bluntly so. She's not afraid of hurting other people's feelings or confidence by always saying what she thinks and the facts. She is passionate about her work, her inventions and seeing things blow up.

   However, Revir can be impatient and impulsive, more often than not unwilling to wait for proper orders before jumping into a perilous situations or throwing one of her explosives/inventions either which usually end up in a bang. She can be moody and incredibly short tempered especially when things don't go her way or someone rubs her the wrong way, often being rude about it and potentially aggressive. She also has a bit of a trickster side to her as she uses pranks, often involving exploding something, as retribution for what she calls "bad behaviour", which may include but is not limited to: indiscrimimated flirting, indiscriminated bullying, ridiculous or overbearing fashion sense, poodle-type hairstyles, interrupting her or looking at her funny.

   Revir doesn't play well with others, saying people just get in her way. On the rare occasions she finds someone she can work with, she will instantly like them and consider them friends, without giving them much of a choice... Despite being very selective with her company and saying she doesn't like people in general, she will risk her life to save others. The only times she seems to be at peace with herself and the world is when she is working on some engineering or mechanical project, often to the sound of classical music, then you can catch her absentmindedly swaying or even dancing to.

   Revir lives life at her own pace and likes what she does. She likes building things and making things work about as much as she likes seeing things blow up in a ball of flame.

Background:

- History- Revir was born in Dollet City to Micael and Janet Dey. Her father was a mechanic and the family lived above his garage, so ever since she could walk Revir has been around machinery and gadgets. She loved watching her father bring machines to life. Her mother wanted her to become a proper lady but it was soon apparent that it wasn't in the cards for Revir. One day, she was only 6 and she found her way to a machine which had been deemed un-salvageable and she was able to fix it. She was a natural and seemed to have an incredible instinct for tinkering. From that moment on, her father made to teach her everything he had learned all his life and in a few years, she already knew more than he ever could.

   When Revir was 9 years old, her parents and her went on a roadtrip to the Town of Timber. Shortly after crossing the bridge near East Academy Station, a hoard of Wendigos caused their car to crash. Her parents died and she was rescued and taken to an orphanage in Timber. She wasn't there for a day till a party from the recently created Galbadia Garden, an Elite Military Training Academy, among other things, came to the city looking for recruits. Revir never played well with other children even during her short stay, so she was taken to Galbadia Garden.

   In a new environment, Revir's social skills didn't improve. While many of the other children were orphans an/or unwanted children, several others were sons and daughters of influential Galbadians who hoped their children could be educated to become strong leaders. Revir didn't fit in and was bullied and ill treated often and because their parents were influential, the teachers and instructors always took their sides. But Revir wasn't one to take abuse and shut up about it. When the other kids were rude and insulted her, she was rude and insulted back. When they were mean, she was mean. When they were violent, she was violent. Soon enough, most of the kids in Galbadia Garden learned to stay clear of her.

   When she wasn't fending for herself, Revir could be found tinkering with something or another. She had dismantled every piece of machinery or trinket in her room and reassembled it to work better than before. When she could get her hands on something outside of her room, she would often snatch it only to work on it all night and return it the next day in perfect working order and, most of the time, without anyone noticing. But she wasn't invisible to every teacher and her skills and talents caught the eye of Instructor Brannon Lee. He took her from the regular classes and brought her to the workshop, where older boys worked on the machinery and technological inventions for military applications. As he had presumed, Revir was a natural and she had finally found a home. She worked on whatever caught her eyes and made it work. She would even create new things, gadgets and was a whiz at fixing, dismantling and reassembling firearms. Soon enough, Revir was working on classified projects for the Galbadian military and was often called upon by name to work on the more sensitive aspects of said projects. There was nothing she couldn't fix.

   Over the years, Revir started dabbling on explosives and weapon creations. She found a new passion. As much as she loved to bring machinery to life, she discovered she also took an unexpected great amount of pleasure in seeing things blow up. Though continuing to disrespect authority and most of the instructors at Galbadia Garden, her skills are recognized and have become an asset to the prestige of the academy.

- Story - Prior to the events of Final Fantasy VIII, Revir is getting ready to take the SeeD exam. Due to the reduced numbers of candidates at the time, and to bolster inter-Garden relationships, Galbadia, Balamb and Trabia Garden agree to make a joint SeeD Exam. Galbadia Garden is chosen as the runner of this Exam as it has the larger number of cadets able to undertake it. Balamb Garden's cadets and some supervising personnel, come by Train with a quick stop in Timber, while the ones from Trabia Garden come by boat and catch the train near Dollet. They all meet up at the East Academy station where the Galbadian SeeDs have a safe house on the nearby populace.

   Teams are formed, with Revir joining with another red headed teen from Balamb Garden, named Mirage Hawke, and a handsome, tall blond young man called Seifer Almasy. Revir is smithen especially for the bad-boy type, but is brought back on point when they talk about their mission. They are to be tested in a real life combat situation as Galbadia Garden has been hired to track down a gang of train robbers. They anticipate a small, but organized group, hiding somewhere in the Timber Forest. The Cadet's mission is to provide search support to the SeeDs by checking some locations while the SeeDs head for a more promising location. Seifer is disappointed they won't get to see some action, reduced to handle monsters or the occasional stray thief escaping from the SeeD's assault. A little while after they start their patrols and having to dispatch several monsters, including Wendigos Revir takes particular offence against, Seifer blows them off saying they can handle themselves, taking off adding he has a date in Timber and that frolocking around with monsters isn't a good enough reason for him to miss it. Revir is annoyed and slightly impressed as the bad-boy act isn't an act at all. The other girl complains over his irresponsibility and though Revir is momentarily tempted to blow off the mission, she wants to become a SeeD so she ends up following Mirage's lead as they continue with their mission.

   After a while and a couple more monster encounters, they hear the sound of nearby battle. They follow the combat sounds till it leads them to a cave. Keeping to the shadows as they head inside, they see one of another squad's cadets, Trabia Garden judging by the color of her uniform, facing off against about a dozen bandits in a wider section of the cave which has  several crates and many weapons lying around. On the ground, obviously injured, they also see another cadet apparently from Galbadia Garden. The girls share a look and don't hesitate to spring into action, using their guns and bow to assist the melee fighter with her naginata. They manage to defeat all of the thieves. The standing girl then introduces herself as Wynn Colter and thanks them for their assistance.

   Before they can tend to the fallen cadet, something calls for the three young women's attention. A previously inconspicuous bird statue upon a pedestal suddenly starts to glow its eyes. The girls would later swear they could hear a disembodied voice in their heads saying they were deemed worthy as a heat wave seems to spread through their whole bodies. They don't quite know what to take from the experience when they are interrupted by the SeeDs' arrival. They assess and assume control of the situation after the teens tell them what happened. With an exchanged look, the three girls decide to keep that last part with the talking statue to themselves and decide on the way back to Galbadia Garden not to talk about it with anyone, after they are dismissed. The SeeDs stay behind, assuring they'll arrange for the injured cadet's safe return while the others bind the surviving thieves to deliver them to Timber's authorities. That evening, Seifer and the third member of Wynn's team, who ran off when the battle started abandoning his companions, get reprimented for their actions, while Revir, Mirage and Wynn are promoted to SeeD. The girls promise to keep in touch while also trying to figure out what the voice meant, as Wynn and Mirage have to go back to their respective Gardens.

- Hopes&Dreams - Revir doesn't have a specific life dream, she just wants the freedom to continue to work on machinery and blow stuff up.
- Criminal Record - She may have record and even an outstanding warrant for blowing up something in Timber and/or Dollet, either in the course of a mission or an off-school outting with some friends...

Extra:

- Trivia - Revir did study a bit of Classical Dance by her mother's insistance and though it didn't take, she did pick up some things;
   Also due to her Classical Dance upbringing, she does enjoy Classical Music above any other type, often listening to it while working on her experiments and blowing stuff up;
   You DON'T want to let her drive if you enjoy keeping your food down;
- Quotes - "Count to 3 then throw this... far, if you please or it will kill us all."; "Touch me again and I'll rig your shotgun to blow up that pretty little face of yours... Or at least burn that ridiculous hat."; "This will either save us, proving I'm a genious, or explode and kill us all, proving I can do better. Good luck."; "Don't worry, this is going to work... This is probably going to work... Well, it might work or blow up in our faces and kill us all... But don't worry, it's going to work."
- Soundtrack -
