D-Cuddles

So I have decided to publish at least one drawing/painted or uncolored sketch per week. You may call it my New Year's resolution (with a month's delay...). I was sad, last year, that I didn't get to draw as much as I did. This will serve to force me not to neglect my beautiful wacom drawing tablet ^^

About the drawing... well, it is sorta random... I have recently rediscovered my passion for GORILLAZ, in case you didn't recognize the blue haired guy with the pitch black eye sockets (I never understood if he doesn't have eyes or just has all of them pitch black... I mean, he can see so he must have eyes, right?!?....)... there might have been a youtube "virtual band list" video involved... ANYways, after rummaging through quite the few 2D&Noodle shipping fanart, I have decided to do one of my own but instead of Noodle, I went for one of my Character Templates in her original (as in: old) color scheme. Using her original (as in: old) given name, the girl is named Arashi Storm (Cancer character, Arashi is Japanese so her name is quite basically "Storm Storm"...) and she is the more skilled singer out of my other character templates. Now, her insertion in the 1nsane world of GORILLAZ doesn't necessarily have to do with music, meaning she's not gonna like, join the band... She can sing and can sometimes maybe help 2D with the creative lyric writing process (like a muse or test support vocals), but she'll simply be her girlfriend, supporting him and scary as she may not look like, help keep Murdoc in line so he's not as abusive to 2D...

About the art itself, I have used this pose for an unpublished drawing of one other couple... I think I took if from an anime or manga, but I honestly can't remember which... In any case, I really like how it turned out and am very proud of it and it didn't take me that long to do (could have been faster, but ArtRage was sabotaging me with constant crashes..............)
